WHY go to church?

It’s impossible to love Jesus without loving his Church. With all our imperfections, having fellowship with one another actually helps our relationship with God.

‘But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.’ (1 John 1:7)

When Christians love one another, we let the world know we belong to Jesus. ‘By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another’ (John 13:35)

Going to church means prioritising God over something else. You can’t simultaneously love God and want to disobey him.

‘And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching’ (Hebrews 10:24-25)
